Planning Your Dental Vacation — Questions Answered

Which airport should I fly into?
Fly into BJX (Del Bajío International Airport) in Silao, Guanajuato — just 25 minutes from our clinic in León. Airlines like United (Houston), American (Dallas), and Volaris (LAX) offer direct flights. We provide complimentary airport pickup and drop-off with every treatment.
How many days do I need?
It depends on your treatment: Veneers/Crowns: 5–7 days. Dental Implants: 7–10 days. All-on-4/6/8: 8–12 days. Recovery days between appointments are perfect for visiting Pueblos Mágicos — most patients explore 2-3 towns during their trip.
Is the region safe for American visitors?
Yes. The colonial highland region of Guanajuato is one of Mexico's safest tourist areas. San Miguel de Allende has the largest American expat community in Mexico. León is a modern industrial city of 1.5 million. These towns are walkable, well-policed, and welcoming.
What is a Pueblo Mágico?
Pueblo Mágico ("Magical Town") is an official designation by Mexico's Ministry of Tourism for towns with special historical, cultural, or natural significance. Guanajuato state has more Pueblos Mágicos than any other state in Mexico — and they're all within easy reach of León.
Do I need a car to visit the pueblos?
We can arrange private transportation or you can rent a car at BJX airport. Major highways connect León to all nearby towns. For Guanajuato Capital and San Miguel de Allende, guided tours from León are also available.
Can I bring my family?
Absolutely — and we encourage it. The colonial highlands offer incredible experiences for everyone: UNESCO cities, world-class cuisine, art galleries, hot springs, and outdoor adventures. Many patients turn their dental trip into a family vacation.
What language do they speak at the clinic?
Our entire dental team is fully bilingual in English and Spanish. In San Miguel de Allende, English is widely spoken. In other towns, basic Spanish is helpful but not essential — translation apps work great.
What should I bring?
Bring your passport, any existing dental records or X-rays (digital copies are fine), comfortable clothing for recovery days, and a sense of adventure. We'll provide a detailed pre-trip checklist once your treatment plan is confirmed.
